Overleaf Lodge & Village - The grounds surrounding the Overleaf Lodge & Village cover a dramatic variety of microenvironments. From the oceanfront with its low wind-sculpted pines to 100-foot spruces just 700 feet inland, the area is affected by the waves incessant crashing on the basalt bluffs. The influence of the sea salt has resulted in an 8-year experiment in flora. Although the primary focus has been on native species, many ornamentals are concentrated in a menagerie of focal gardens throughout the property.
